FACT: 30% of All Searches on Google and Yahoo are People Search Related - and Growing! Wow. The problem is that there are so many options now in order to meet the demand. Exploring these options can be mind numbing. First and foremost, there are a lot of good tools out there. Even some of the paid services are worth the money, especially when you're the owner of a small business.
Personally, I've always had a strong desire to build our family tree. There are expensive experts out there that my uncles' have used over the years. In my findings, they were much less accurate than Internet services! The problem was that I was all over the place with over 20 bookmarks with great information that required hours to compile.
I wound up stumbling upon (so should I submit to that site, stumbleupon?) a very nice, simple site that would save all my results for free for the different types of searches I wanted to complete. And I could do it on my time ... from one email address ... securely. So I asked the owner if I could have one.
His response was funny. He explained to me that he already sets folks up and wondered how I didn't know that. Bashfully, I simply asked him to treat me like the lowest common denominator and tell me what to do.
The result, launched a few weeks ago, was resultbucket.com. In short, I have all my results in my own bucket and anyone else can come to the search engine for free and get their own bucket of results.
So I probably will not take the world by storm but still wanted to share. Let's take a look at how you might use this search tool in order to evaluate safe searching on-line in general.
At first glance, there not much to resultbucket.com. Just like Google, there's really just one main function with some powerful engines behind the scenes that deliver your desired results. Step one would be to simply enter "who" you are looking for, "where" they might reside in general, enter the simple four digit captcha and hit "search."
The "who" in your story is obvious and the "where" helps to refine your story better. Why the captcha? Protection - from bots, paid surfers, ddos, and more of those crazy problems that small sites get hit with. We want you to be able to search with safety. The captcha lets us know you are real and allows us to give you uncompromised results.
Beyond the free people search, there are a few other helpful tools linked under the search box. The top row are really geared for small businesses without human resources, people that have been attacked online or through identity theft and desire to do some personal research, and perhaps independent home renters. Search by Phone, Search by SSN, Run a Background Check, and Find Email Addresses. Pretty straight forward as far as niche search engines go.
The other row has just two links that I would call "cyber fellowship." When you just want to reconnect or discover your own lineage, you'll need "Search Social Networks" and "Find Your Ancestors."
And that's it! The tools lead you through the rest and keep everything in the email you provide in later steps. Please go visit the site or contact me and tell me want you want or if you like/dislike this. Even if you don't pick my site, after much of my own searching, I am confident these are the things you'll want to find in other on-line tools. Most of all search safe and be safe. All the best, jerry - freepeoplesearch@resultbucket.com.
